Nason Medical Center: Our Mission

Our Mission

The mission of Nason Medical Center derives in part from surveys by the
Gallup Organization asking what things patients think are most important
when it comes to healthcare. Our guiding principles are simple, but effective:

1. Fast

Every patient will be seen by a doctor within twenty minutes of arrival.

2. Friendly

Every patient will feel that people at Nason care about them.

3. “Over-Communicate”

We will describe and explain the patient's condition in terms they understand, avoiding ‘medicalese.’

4. Provide Tools

NMC will provide the patient with the knowledge and resources to
make them better.

Nason Medical Center will offer emergency and urgent care services
to the people and communities we serve in a timely, cost effective
and compassionate way.

It is our mission to provide the highest level of health care by employing
medical experience and technology equivalent to what one would find in a
hospital emergency department. Nason physicians are board certified and
residency-trained in emergency medicine. We will utilize laboratory and
imaging equipment to enable our physicians to treat higher acuity problems.
Imaging services will include computed tomography, ultrasound and traditional
radiology. We plan to complement the emergency department by providing
health care to patients who may be too acutely ill for a primary care office,
but not ill enough to warrant an ambulance ride. Our extended schedule
will allow us to provide services after hours, on weekends and holidays.

The staff at Nason Medical Center will deliver health care with proficiency,
empathy and sincerity. This will be accomplished through the development
of a philosophy in which all aspects of patient care are taken seriously.
Beyond providing accurate and definitive diagnostic capability, Nason will
focus on four additional objectives. First, we will take care of our patients
in a timely fashion. Second, we will describe the patients’ conditions in
words they can understand. Third, we will provide patients with the tools
and education to make them better once they have arrived home. Lastly,
every patient that leaves Nason Medical Center will know that someone
cares about them and their well-being.
